Cheval International

Cheval is a Flax Seed Free Company because Flax Seed has been linked to thyroid damage, toxicity, Lethargy and more in horses.  (SEE CENTAUR, AUGUST 2005 COVER STORY.)
Omegas are wonderful for horses in their proper and natural balance, as obtained by Cheval’s Home Grown,, Safe ingredients.

Flax might be good in humans and dogs, but in our opinion, it is not best for horses.

PurinaMills.com notes wild blue flax is considered deadly to horses.

Rutgers notes that you should not feed flax to horses, but if you are going to feed flax you should soak it for 20 minutes to make it safer and more effective.

Flax contains wrong phosphorous/calcium ratio for horses which can result in Epiphycitis and OCD (see Merck’s Veterinary Manual).

Good horsemen know that Flax is the cheapest way to get a shine, (BUT DOES NOT ENHANCE COLOR), but we’ve never known a good horseman who would feed his horse Flax as so many suspect it might cause obesity, lethargy and maybe even Cushings.  They also know after milled, Flax often becomes rancid in 2 weeks and can cause colic.

But if you have to soak it to eliminate toxins or make it effective, and if you have to process it to make it effective, yet processing or chewing could release toxins, why go there?

Safe, balance and prepared perfectly for horses omegas are provided by Cheval’s Coat Enhancers.
There might be some companies who know how to process Flax for horses as a cheap shine, but why should you take a risk?

You get what you pay for!

Why take the risk of using anything potentially harmful when Cheval invented safe, naturally well balance Omega Coat Supplements?

If there is even the slightest risk to your horse’s health, Cheval will not use an ingredient.  This is why Cheval is proud to be Flax Free.

We invented safe natural Coat Enhancers, we launched an industry on them. Doesn’t your horse deserve the original Equine Coat Enhancers proven safe and effective for 3 decades?

Lame-A-Way

“My vet is interested in Lame-A-Way as he heard from the chief of staff at our hospital about it. He is specially interest in the shark cartilage and its use in cancer…I am using it on all three of my dogs and have seen major improvement…one has hip dysplasia, one had cancer, and the young one who has no arthritic or dysplasia problems – (I give it to him) just to provide insurance against disease.” J.A. Ohio

“I have been using this product on a l9 year old mare that came up lame…two years ago. My horse is so frisky and “unlame” now…and has regained her floating action. When pulled off Lame-A-Way, she soon regresses. I also use it for an old Labrador retriever, and it is remarkable.” N.B. Florida

“I want to share with you the great results I have had with Lame-A-Way. My mare Misty has ringbone and was denerved for side bone 9 years ago. She is 23 years old now…after taking it (Lame-A-Way) for 30 days, you would not believe the results. She was running in the pasture acting like she was 10 years old. No limping, having all kinds of energy. I’m so excited about this product I’m telling everybody I know about Lame-A-Way. Thank you. Thank you for giving my horse back to me.” C.S. Indiana

“I have used your Lame-A Way for a pony mare with chronic laminitis. The previous owners of our had left her here–the proverbial” gift horse.” She had a lot of pain off and on-sometimes only shuffling around. The vet said to keep her shod (didn’t help) and give her “bute” during her worst spells (also made no difference). When the farrier would come to trim and reset her shoes she was a terror! She also was a fiend under the saddle even when she seemed to be feeling better. I tried your Lame-A-Way as a last resort-I couldn’t even give her away (I tried.) She was a different pony in less than two weeks. The farriers couldn’t believe it! He had threatened to tranquilize her previously, but the last time I simply held her lead–no need to tie her up short or use a twitch. I could ride her without so much fighting… This was a pony I could not give away before-even more important she is now without pain. I have no idea how long she suffered before.” E.H. Tennessee

“Having wonderful results with my navicular mare-have taken her off of all her supplements other than isoxuprene, which I’m beginning to decrease. You should be seeing several more orders from friends wood because of my success. How much should I feed my arthritic lab- he weighs 85 lbs. ? Please place an order for me for another 2 month supply for horses” D.H. Texas

Cheval Products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
FORBIDDEN SUBSTANCES:
In 20 years and with many Olympic and Grand Prix horses consuming our products, we’ve never received a single report of a Cheval Horse “Failing” a drug test.  Still our lawyers insist we tell you the following:
ATTENTION ALL SHOW HORSE OWNERS. DRUG TESTING IS GETTING STRICTER BY THE MINUTE, SO BE SURE YOU CHECK ALL INGREDIENTS WITH YOUR GOVERNING AGENCY TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN FULL COMPLIANCE WHEN YOU SHOW. USEF NOW INDICATES CELERY SEED (NOT IN ANY OF OUR FORMULAS) AND PAPRIKA ARE “FORBIDDEN” SO WE OFFER A SHOW HORSE FORMULA OF ALL OUT COAT ENHANCERS WITHOUT PAPRIKA OR CELERY SEED – AT THE SAME GREAT PRICE. JUST INDICATE SHOW HORSE FORMULA WHEN ORDERING.

Cheval employees keep their horses on large doses of all products all year round – preferring regular formulas as those are the most effective. One week prior to showing, they pull their horses off regular formula and feed the show formula (to maintain build up in the system). The minute they leave the show grounds, they put their horses right back on the awesome original/regular formula of all the supplements.

~~Cheval’s Inside Out is the safe solution in the garlic controversy!
Inside Out Insect Control is the safe, delicious, nutritious combination of yeast, apple cider vinegar, and a drop of processed (weeks of Cheval’s secret “brewing process” eliminates all negatives of garlic while preserving all positives).  Unscented garlic, and more to keep horses healthy. For twenty years and 100,000 horses, there has never been a negative to Inside Out.
Cheval feeds massive doses and performs random blood panels to its top FEI show horses and Cheval horses blood panels always come back: healthy as a horse.
Sure there is a big garlic controversy since a study showed four cups of garlic fed to a horse per day might cause anemia. Cheval says, “DUH!”. Who would feed a horse 4 cups of garlic per day? First, our horses won’t eat garlic. Second, it would stink up the barn, the urine and the horse so bad, you wouldn’t want to be around him. Third, who hasn’t heard of “moderation in all things”. Forth, the synergistic effect of all the wonderful Inside Out ingredients assure your horse will get ten times the benefit (biting insects like mosquitoes that cause West Nile and ticks that cause Lyme disease will steer clear of your horse. But your horse won’t stink and make you want to steer clear. Further, allergies and many coughs disappear, and his coat will shine like none other. Only positive effects can come from Cheval’s Inside Out. If your horse ate a bucket, the only thing it would hurt would be your supplement bucket.
Go ahead. Give your horse the benefit of a tiny drop of garlic in with all the other healthy nutrients of Inside Out. And rest assured, your horse will never stink, never get anemia and will bloom with good health.
